Inclusion at The library
-
Sensory Friendly
Our private room will be equipped with various sensory tools and equipment to provide a calming environment for all attendees.
-
Creative Craft Station
Get hands-on with a fun, accessible craft that all ages can enjoy. It’s an excellent opportunity to create something new while socializing with others.
-
Community Building
This is a chance to meet other attendees, share experiences, and make new friends in a low-pressure, supportive setting.
Intentionally Inclusive
Libraries, while often seen as welcoming and universal spaces, are not always the most inclusive for everyone. The challenges we face are often rooted in the traditional design and operational models of libraries, which can create sensory, social, and informational barriers.
The focus of Pluto's Orbit is to transform public spaces into hubs of intentional inclusion. We do this by creating a supportive community that helps individuals navigate and reshape the unspoken social rules that often lead to feelings of isolation. Our work isn't just about providing a safe space; it's about empowering people to drive personal and communal growth.
Join us in connecting with our community on a deeper level.
